a) ingame shops b) 2 mini games (eve poker and eve stratego) c) agents you have to walk to to activate.
+1. Like you say, the above three are all terrible ideas. Maybe 'c' is ok for some missions or as part of a mission to complete?
There isn't really anything wrong with the 3 points above, as long as they are side dishes and not the main course. I have a feeling that C will figure pretty strongly into what they want to do however, which all things considered might not be too bad.
Quote: Ambulation is a waste of time imo, make the collision / physics system better first eh
In a similar vein I feel that before we make appplesauce we should first learn how to shave a cat.

If I remember right, nobody is being forced to get out of their ships at all, so you'll never have to get out to talk to agents and such.
More accurately, nobody is being forced to try the content/gameplay being created for Incarna... just as nobody is forced to mine or run missions to play EVE. However, you will most likely need to get your sorry butt out of your pod if you want to interact with the content created specifically for Incarna if there teaser is any indication.
Whether you grovel or not is, as always, up to your personal preference.

You're flat wrong on C. It's the _exact_same_ functionality we have now except it takes longer to perform. All downside. No upside. It's also exactly the sort of thing they said they wouldn't do with WiS.
Learn to read. If we do end up having "missions" of a sort that are Incarna related it's very doubtful that it will be remotely similar to what we have now. Remember, Incarna is going to be primarily about "doing things that you can't do in your ship" or "don't want a record of having done".
And no, this is not the sort of thing they said they wouldn't do with WIS. They have only said that Incarna (WIS) will not ever be mandatory to play EVE, they never said that all things you will be able to do in Incarna you can also do from your ship. The whole point of having an Avatar is to open up options that you do not have while staying in your ship. You don't "have" to do Incarna activities to play EVE just as you always have. It will be optional content.
There will probably be some things that you can do in Incarna or from your ship for practicalities sake, but hopefully doing them in Incarna will be a different and interesting experience. By this I mean such things as purchasing from the market or manufacturing, or even talking to a normal agent or (LOL) buying insurance. But these activities won't be the meat of Incarna. If the activites that are purely Incarna related have no interest to you, by all means ignore that aspect of the game as you have undoubtedly ignored other aspects of current EVE gameplay that have not interested you.

It is unfortunate about the whole (somewhat silly) adding of windows in stations not really being practical, because I can tell you right now that the only "buisness" I would consider owning would be one that had a window that overlooked the Jita 4-4 undock corridor.
The veiw would always, always be entertaining.
